Ask Them to Support Anti-Hunger Initiatives

When creating or changing policy, our elected officials must make important decisions that may impact our ability to help close the hunger gap in our region. Faced with decisions that can impact millions of people, we want to provide them with accurate and timely information.

By connecting our partner agencies, community leaders, those with lived experiences, and our advocates we become a strong united voice to fight hunger!

Let your elected officials know you support comprehensive anti-hunger initiatives and legislation.

Right now, Harvesters is facing a critical shortfall, and we need your help more than ever.  The cost of food has skyrocketed — up 24% over the past 5 years. Key federal programs have been eliminated or cut by 30%, resulting in as much as 3.4 million fewer pounds of food we will have to distribute. Locally, food insecurity is at 12.3%, up from 9.5% in 2021, — the highest level in nearly a decade. The hunger gap is widening, and your support can help us continue to provide for our community.
