The transcontinental railway train will be decked out in holiday gear to celebrate the season and raise money for food banks across the U.S. and Canada including Harvesters.

Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.

The train will arrive at Union Station in the afternoon and a concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Haverty Yards featuring American Authors and KT Tunstall. Plus, there will be kids activities and a visit from the big man in red! Following the concert, Union Station will have fireworks. Everyone is encouraged to bring a monetary or nonperishable food donation.
