Service Insights
What is Service Insights?
At Harvesters, we are always looking for ways to better serve our neighbors facing food insecurity. One way we are doing this is by offering a free, online intake tool called Neighbor Intake for our partner agencies to use. This tool was created and developed by Feeding America and is used to collect basic information about neighbors receiving food assistance. With this information, we hope to serve our neighbors better. We ensure that personal information is always secure and private by working with our partners on standard practices.

and how it helps neighbors and our network.
What information is collected?
Our partner agencies will ask for basic information like name, age, where someone is staying, gender, race, if receiving SNAP benefits, and other household members. Some partner agencies may ask additional questions related to services they provide, like dietary restrictions/preferences.
Do I have to provide my information?
No. We hope neighbors will provide their information to help improve our services and speed up the sign-in process, but it is not required. Neighbors will receive food whether or not they choose to share their personal information.
(Please note, for people who receive food through certain programs like TEFAP – The Emergency Food Assistance Program – Kansas and Missouri state governments require that you provide your name, address, your income level, and the number of people in your household.)
How is personal information used?
Harvesters will compile neighbor data into de-identified reports. These reports only include total numbers and will never include any personal, identifiable information. For example, a report may show that 500 people who live in County A received food in 2024. This report would not include names, addresses, or identifiable information of those people. Harvesters will never share any personal information with third parties without permission.
Our agency partners will not use this system to limit your access to food and those using this system will not have access to your comprehensive visit history across the entire network.
(Please note, if you receive food through certain programs like TEFAP – The Emergency Food Assistance Program – Kansas and Missouri state governments require that you provide your name, address, your income level, and the number of people in your household.)
